You'll be trusted to lead from the front, balancing compliance, coaching, and practical problem-solving in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, with the EHS Specialist acting as a visible and credible presence across the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and maintain EHS management systems, including ISO 45001 & ISO 14001
  • Lead incident, accident, and near-miss investigations with robust preventative actions
  • Manage site risk assessments, COSHH approvals, and corrective action tracking
  • Act as the key contact for specialist EHS contractors and external auditors
  • Deliver engaging EHS inductions and hands-on training sessions
  • Support and influence Safety Committees and Action Teams
  • Lead risk reduction and safety improvement projects across the site
  • Carry out internal audits and layered process audits (LPAs)
  • Champion EHS culture, ensuring accountability at all levels

What We're Looking For

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in an EHS role within a manufacturing environment
  • NEBOSH General Certificate (minimum), ideally working towards Diploma Level 6
  • Strong working knowledge of ISO 45001 & ISO 14001
  • Confident communicator who can engage, challenge, and influence at all levels
  • Highly organised, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple priorities
  • Passionate about safety, continuous improvement, and career progression in EHS

Why Apply?

  • Competitive salary (£41-44k)
  • Strong leadership support and investment in EHS
  • A role with genuine influence and visibility
  • Excellent platform for long-term EHS career development for an ambitious EHS Specialist
